What is I AM Yoga Nidra™ Meditation?

Yoga Nidra is an ancient sleep-based meditation technique that has the power to take you to the innermost, deepest levels of relaxation where your whole body and being is permeated by peace of mind and profound stillness. It unlocks the mystical, integrative powers of the subconscious, as well as your higher centers of consciousness, to effortlessly erase your most tenacious, self-destructive habits and behavior patterns. It is said by yogis that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as three hours of sleep.*

 

 

 

WHAT MAKES I AM YOGA NIDRA™ MEDITATION UNIQUE?

 

I AM Yoga Nidra is designed as more than a relaxation. It is a meditation technique that not only relaxes the body, but creates a different relationship with stress producing thoughts and emotions. It is designed to guide the practitioner to recognize the silent place of being that always resides within us. The IAM method focuses primarily on quieting the mind and boosting the energy flow in the body (prana). This released energy in the body increases the healing potential available during yoga nidra and typically takes practitioners into deeper states of meditation more quickly. That is why this style is often known as “the deep one”.* 

 

Yoga nidra is very effective in managing and healing common stress-related issues such as Insomnia, Habits and Addictions, Trauma and PTSD, Depression and Anxiety.  It balances the left and right side of the brain, increases dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, melatonin, DHEA and GABA while reducing the stress hormone, Cortisol. Intentions and affirmations can be made in the deepest part of the Nidra giving you the benefits of hypnotherapy as well. 

Most of us are busy people, and in our busy-ness we start to identify with our situations and emotions. "I am a mom. I am a daughter. I am sad. I am lonely. I am depressed. I am tired." In reality, these are just situations and emotions that are passing through our lives. We are Source energy. We are souls having a human experience, not humans having a soul experience. When we practice Yoga Nidra, we move beyond our physical, mental and emotional states. We begin to dis-identify with our "stuff" and re-identify with our Source. We are left with a profound feeling of silence and peace.

BIO:

Kerri Wade, Yoga Nidra Meditation Facilitator

 

Kerri is the owner of East Valley Healing in Gilbert Arizona. She is a Reiki Master Teacher, Karuna Reiki Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Energy Healer and An Advanced Certified I Am Yoga Nidra Facilitator. 

 

Born and raised in Boise Idaho, Kerri moved to Arizona just a month shy of her 21st birthday and began a very long career in real estate. After a devastating loss in 2005, her life began to change and transition. Although she had become a Reiki Master in 2004, it wasn’t until she received a wake up call from Spirit in 2015 that she fully devoted her life to energy healing. She began attending Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in 2016 studying to become an integrative healer, earning certifications as a Transformational Life Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Yoga Nidra Facilitator. She also became a Reiki Master Teacher and a Karuna Reiki Practitioner and has taken nearly 800 hours of study at SWIHA.  

 

Kerri loves helping others  heal and reconnect with their higher self and source. She knows first hand that doing so is life changing and wants to spend the rest of her life teaching and sharing her love of this work. 

 

Kerri says, “We all just want to feel better and we want it to be easy.” And she’s doing her best to help her clients do just that!
